I guess you can say photography is in my blood. My father apparently was quite the hobbyist photographer, so there's that. And growing up, we had a few family friends that were very talented photographers as well. Around the age of 10 or 11 years old my interest in cameras sparked and I started doing 'photoshoots' with, my then, three year old twin sisters - creating backdrops with props and everything. Playing with different light and shadows came natural to me.
But it wasn't until I moved back home from Miami a few years ago that I dove back into this creative art. The ability to create lasting memories for other people, along with doing creative shoots of my own, is therapeutic. Behind the lens I feel a sense of calm and control. Even in post-production, when I'm in front of my laptop doing edits, there's so much excitement watching photos come to life even more. There's such a sense of accomplishment in that.
I am blessed beyond words to be able to do what I love - capturing people's memories - altering their lives by holding it still.
I'd be honored to capture yours.
